i finally got around to getting google earth, which gave me this ariel view of site one;

It also gives me some shadow perspective. Plus it really helps me to visualise another thought i was having, but more of that later.

I’ve been doing a couple of experiments with writing in shadows using pipecleaners (nice SPARKLY ones!)

looks like something of a successful experiment to me!
