So, the summer’s here. Three glorious months of not-much-to-do, which is one of the things that I CAN’T STAND (to keep ticking over at anything like a sane level I need at least three things I can chop and change between or I get…. tetchy). Plus I’ve come out of the HNC with a certain amount of momentum which I want to try to keep going.
So, at the moment I’m working on some multiples for Yoke & Zoom’s art dispensers – the HNC group worked with them late last year on the Site Specific Sculpture project, and one of their other projects was refurbished condom machines that dispense small works of art for the bargainous price of £2 – more information is available at their website: http://www.yokeandzoom.com
So, i’m making fifteen sets of three boxes with a little gift in the middle – this is the actual prototype rather than the rough model i worked on before:
Like I mentioned this is a prototype rather than a mock up, so I’ll be spending the weekend happily snipping and folding.
Another of my current projects is to sort out ‘The Yard Sale of the Garret’, an independent exhibition by local students and unknown artists, which will be done entirely by voluntary means. Do drop me a line if you want to get involved with this, and there will probably be far too much information about it on this site in the near future. Will keep you posted…
Hope you’re all enjoying the glorious weather – it’s summer, whoo hoo!
