“This was Walpurgis Night!
Walpurgis Night, when, according to the belief of millions of people, the devil was abroad–when the graves were opened and the dead came forth and walked. When all evil things of earth and air and water held revel.”
– Bram Stoker, Draculas Guest
This week Nonny Warn has announced the All-Round Good Eggs Who shall be joining her at the Old Joint Stock Theatre for High Tea and Tales – A Walpurgis Night of Vaudeville.
In January, Nonny Warn announced her evening of Walpurgisnacht festivities, for One Night Only, at the Old Joint Stock theatre in Birmingham. Now it is with Great Pleasure that she can reveal the All-Round Good Eggs performing at the show.
This Walpurgisnacht, as the clock ticks towards Mayday, you are cordially invited to ring in the summer at an evening of song, dance, tales, sandwiches, cake, swinging showgirls, fiery flamenco and buxom burlesque.
High Tea and Tales – a Walpurgis Night of Vaudeville, is a two-act performance hosted by Nonny Warn, a differently corporeal and non-linear specific teller of tales and dispenser of knowledge. In Scandinavian countries Walpurgisnacht is widely celebrated as a night, like our more familiar Halloween, when the veils between realities are at their thinnest. Nonny is taking advantage of this to create a place between these veils, and invites you to join her for High Tea and a night of variety performed by her All-Round Good Eggs, performers from across realities whom have all, for one reason or another, caught Nonny’s eye.
