Awake, Arise, or Be Forever Fallen
An intervention with Jacob Epstein’s sculpture Lucifer in the Round Room of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, Awake… seeks to make the viewer choose their own interpretation of the events that have unfolded. Lucifer holds a man-sized sock monkey, which itself has been stitched according to a pattern of a voodoo doll and is resplendent in anarchic, red-and-black striped livery.
Awake, Arise Or Be Forever Fallen is on display at Birmingham Museum And Art Gallery until 17th May 2015
