In February 2020 I became one of the Artist’s in Residence for the University of Birmingham’s SMQB #IncUoBator  program, an initiative which teams art practitioners with researchers working on specific solutions to medical questions. I was chosen to work alongside a team focussing on precision in Antithyroid therapy – an area which as a former hyperthyroid patient I absolutely see the need for.

The intended timeframe has been vastly affected by the ongoing Covid-19 situation, but over the past six months I’ve created a body of work relating to the thyroid and it’s treatment based on both discussions with the research group and my own experiences.
